Senior Kingswood Association

We would like to share some recent correspondence from an Alumnus who left Kingswood in 2005.  Serving in the British Army across the world, they talk of how the Kingswood ethos has shaped them in many ways.

"I attended Kingswood School during 1999-2005, going on to read Modern History at the University of Oxford before commissioning into the British Army where I have served all over the world, including operational tours in Afghanistan, Somalia, and South Sudan.  Kingswood School significantly shaped my physical, intellectual, and moral development, thus preparing me very well for a career as an army officer.  I am confident that Kingswood can also provide a foundation for success in a great many other fields, something which becomes apparent when I consider the diverse achievements of my school cohort.  But more personally, I most recognise the Kingswood ethos at play in my adult life when, facing a difficult decision, I choose the difficult but right path over an easier alternative."
