Year 10 pupil and GB Judo fighter, Jack, recently competed at the Matsumae Cup in Denmark for the U18 GB and Bath Team, where he fought incredibly well and secured a silver medal in the final among over 750 Judoka from around the world.

In addition to this achievement, Jack also accomplished his goal of becoming the youngest black belt player in the UK by winning all fights in a 'line up' at the Budokwai in London, the birthplace of Judo in the UK. Despite facing three peers back-to-back, Jack achieved the maximum score of Ippon in all three fights, making him the youngest first Dan Judo black belt in the UK. We wish Jack all the best with his future Judo pursuits, as he continues to make impressive strides in the sport.
