Prep School Fees

Term fees for the 2023/24 academic year

The annual fee is payable in three equal instalments and is due by the first day of each term or by monthly instalments with the prior agreement of the Director of Finance. The School Governors review fees annually, and will minimise fee increases where possible. Parents are normally advised of fee increases prior to the beginning of the summer term.

The fees cover all the teaching that takes place in the ordinary course of education. Parents should anticipate additional charges associated for some co-curricular activities, educational trips and specifically the cost of Learning Support and English as an Additional Language lessons where applicable. The school day includes free Early Club from 8.00am and Late Care until 5.30pm.

Registration Fee & Acceptance Deposit

A non-returnable registration fee payment of £125 is due on application for a place. An acceptance deposit is then required for all nursery and prep school pupils.

All forms must be returned and the registration fee and deposit paid before settling in sessions can start. Deposits will be transferred to the Senior School for those in receipt of an offer of a place in Year 7.

The repayment of deposits is linked to the settlement of final fee invoices upon the departure of the pupil from Kingswood Prep School.

Wrap-around care from 8.00am until 5:30pm 

Day pupil fees include extended wrap-around care as part of the school day. This includes early drop off at 8am and the opportunity for your child to stay after lessons finish and take part in a wide range of clubs and activities until 5:30pm.

Meals & Snacks

A two course hot lunch is included. Fruit, healthy snacks and water are provided at break time and at the end of lessons for children staying for clubs. 

Co-curricular Clubs

We offer a rich and diverse programme of clubs which parents can book their children into online before the start of each term. There is a mix of chargeable and non-chargeable clubs. Any fee due is clearly indicated at the time of booking. 

Extra tuition

One on one tuition for Special Educational Needs or English as an additional Language may be provided if required, and will generally be charged at a rate of £28 for a 40 minute lesson. 

We offer music tuition in a wide range of instruments. Music lessons can be arranged by contacting our Head of Music and your billing arrangement will be directly with the peripatetic teacher.

• Friends of KPS: £3 per term
• Doodle Maths & English (Reception - Year 6): £12 per year

Notice of Withdrawal

In accordance with the School’s terms and conditions, a full term’s notice must be given in writing if you wish to withdraw your child from the School, or if you wish to change your child’s status at the School from one type of boarding to another (day, weekly or full boarding). Failing such notice, a full term’s fees will be charged.
