We are delighted to share the fantastic news that our Malawi Market in November successfully raised an impressive £7000! This significant sum will contribute to supporting various charities dedicated to aiding Malawi, one of the world's poorest countries. Particularly affected by climate change, rural areas in Malawi face severe food insecurity, impacting local crops.

Our enduring commitment extends to Chankasi School, Makokesi Educational Trust in Blantyre, and the Chuma Community, a rural healthcare clinic near Blantyre. Additionally, we proudly support Eagles Malawi and Mbora, founded by an Old Kingswoodian.

Andrew Gordon-Brown reflects on the event: "The hive of activity during our annual Malawi Market fundraising event at School on Friday evening was truly heartening. I extend my gratitude to the students, staff, local craftspeople, and stallholders whose collective efforts ensured the evening's success. The array of offerings was captivating, prompting many, myself included, to kickstart their Christmas shopping. The raffle draw, a highlight at the end of the evening, was both enjoyable and rewarding. Thanks go to everyone who generously donated raffle prizes. It was amusing to discover during my Tuesday breakfast with the head and deputy head of the school team that they had remarkably defied the odds, with four out of five winning prizes, three of them twice! While we finalize the total amount raised, we are optimistic that we will reach £7,000 to further support projects in Malawi."
