Kingswood Pavilion Renamed After Mr Simon Morris

Last week, the Chair of Governors Tim Westbrook, announced the naming of the Pavilion at Kingswood School. It will now be known as the ‘Simon Morris Pavilion’ in celebration of Simon’s 12 years of headship. This naming, in particular, recognises his great support and love of sport at Kingswood. It was also the first major capital building project that Simon oversaw.

Tim described Simon’s tenure as a ‘most marvellous commitment with outstanding leadership’. Simon replied that he was ‘deeply honoured’ that the Governors had recognised his contribution through this naming. Caroline was also presented with some flowers in due recognition of her enormous support to Simon and her great contribution to Kingswood.

With social distancing being observed, it was only possible to host a small group of staff and governors, however the weather blessed the occasion. With many thanks to David Brown for producing such an exceptional slate plaque, once again.
