The Prep School Music department has announced the safe arrival of four brand new pianos.

On Wednesday, the Prep School took delivery of a new Kawai GL50 Grand Piano, two Kawai K300 Upright Pianos and a Yamaha CVP709 Clavinova Digital Piano, all in high gloss ebony finish.

The grand piano will be used in class music lessons, for concert, exams, choir rehearsals and individual lessons.

The two upright pianos will be used for individual piano lessons and also for singing lessons and other instrumental lessons.

The digital piano will be the main piano for assemblies, plays and musicals, and will also be important for composition, recording and experimenting with sounds, as well as accompanying choirs and ensemble groups.

All of the new pianos will hope to make a difference to the quality of learning and musical experience for all children in the school, from Nursery right through to Year 6.

Over time, the Prep School hopes to add another two upright pianos to the music teaching rooms, in order to provide top quality instruments for all the music teaching rooms.

It is hoped that the pianos will inspire the next generation of musicians that come through Kingswood Prep School over the coming months and years.
