Year 8 pupils discover drag car inspiration at the Transport Museum

Our Year 8 Design and Technology took a recent trip to the Transport Museum in Coventry. It was a great way for our Year 8 pupils to gain inspiration before they begin to design their CO2 powered drag cars this term.
Year 8 were on a mission to research and discover how technological advances have changed vehicles over the decades. Our pupils underwent two different workshops;
♻️ Developing innovative designs for future transport, only using recycled materials.
🚲 Working collaboratively to build a 5-seater bicycle from a variety of components.
Not only this, but Year 8 also got to visit the world's fastest car, 'Thrust SSC'! We are very much looking forward seeing the Year 8 drag cars formulate over the coming weeks.
