Senior Drama

Friday night saw the culmination of a three month collaboration with 11 of Kingswood’s Year 9 Drama pupils with nine students from Clarendon School performing an original verbatim play.

Titled ‘Outloud’, the piece consisted of first-hand accounts collected from staff and students, as well as the actors themselves, detailing their experiences of bullying.

These stories were told using a variety of physical theatre techniques and audiences were moved by the brutal honesty and poignancy of the work.

The pupils all worked extremely hard along with their Clarendon peers to construct the piece and Mrs Nash, Head of Drama and Theatre, was very proud of their final, powerful performance.

Mrs Nash has thanked Mr Francis, Theatre Manager, and his technical team, Miss Kenny for her help, and the audience for their support and charity donations to the Genesis Trust and Young Minds.
