The U16 boys compete for 'Best in the West'

The U16 boys played Prior Park, KES and Millfield in our pool at the West of England 7s. This tournament saw the best 7s teams in the West Country coming together to compete for the title of 'Best in the West'. Kingswood brushed past local rivals Prior Park and KES, scoring exciting tries and defending effectively. Having previously lost to Millfield in the Wycliffe 7s Cup Final, the boys were determined to compete and win. Millfield brought an upgraded squad, featuring some very talented rugby players. Kingswood went about their business, with a robust and resilient defensive system, combined with an attack which was varied and accurate. We beat Millfield to progress to the top four in the Cup Semi-Final. Unfortunately, we were out-gunned by the eventual champions, Kings College Taunton, losing by one try! The squad were a massive credit to the school, with visiting parents and coaches praising their play and spirit.
