Boarding Outdoor Pursuits

Last Sunday, all Year 9 and 12 boarders embarked on a team building trip to Outposts on the Quantock Hills.

The activities throughout the day gave this group of boarders the opportunity to get to know one another a little better, as well as to enjoy plenty of fresh air with stunning views of the Somerset countryside.

Despite some very heavy showers, everyone was able enjoy the broad range of tasks they were set. These included archery, building a trebuchet, and a large number of problem-solving tasks, including moving an object across a body of water without it touching anything.

The last challenge included a gutter ball race, finished off with a delicious BBQ around a campfire, which allowed everyone to warm up and dry off a bit before the journey home. Thanks go to the staff accompanying the trip and the four Year 13 prefects – Ningwa, Ted, Niamh and Vasily – who came along and helped to make the day such a great success.
