Kingswood Celebrates Achievements Of Individual Athletes

Last week saw some fantastic achievements by individual athletes in Westwood House: 

In Year 7, Jack travelled to the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield last weekend to represent Kingswood School at the British Schools Judo Championships event for all schools in England, N. Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Over 800 Judoka competed, having qualified from their Regional Schools competitions.

Jack fought well, achieving the Silver medal by winning three of his fights with maximum score, and narrowly missing out in one. 

Rubysha, also in Year 7, participated at the British Junior Golf Tour (BJGT) at Witney Lake Golf Resort last Sunday.  

She played really well on a very wet and windy day representing her club (Chippenham Golf Club) and Kingswood School.

Rubysha is making great progress with her game and will be participating in the BJGT in May this year.
