Over 300 Pupils Participate In Annual Computer Science Competition

Between 12 and 16 November, 331 students took part in the annual computational thinking competition, The Bebras Challenge.

The competition required pupils to solve a range of computational challenges with increasing levels of difficulty.

A number of students achieved Merits (awarded to the top 50% in the country) and Distinctions (awarded to the top 25% in the country).

23 pupils in Year 7 were awarded Distinction after participating in the Junior Challenge, with Alma, Alfie and Sam the top three performers.

Over 50 pupils in Years 8 and 9 were awarded Distinction with Andy, Ian and Olivia the top three performers.

The top four performers in Year 10 were Max, Oliver, Charlie and Arthur with six pupils awarded Distinction in the Seniors Challenge.
