Year 9 Student Competes In The UK Indoor U15 Pentathlon Championships

Year 9 pupil Alice competed in Sheffield in the UK Indoor U15 pentathlon champs over the weekend.
She had a steady start with 9.63s in the 60m Hurdles and 5.19m in the Long Jump.
She recorded a personal best in the Shot Put with 8.91m in the first round and then in the third round produced 9.92m.
Alice competed against 43 girls in four groups and although she had a challenging High Jump, she ran a strong 800m in 2:33:01s.
Overall she finished second just 1 point behind gold. A tremendous achievement, well done Alice!
