Kingswood’s rugby teams had the better of their block fixture against King’s College Taunton.

Both the U16 teams managed to overturn defeats against King’s Taunton last year with some impressive performances.

The U16As had their match cut short due to injury with Kingswood leading 8-0 whilst the U16Bs secured a 24-12 victory.

It was a team performance to be proud of in difficult conditions on the Upper Playing Fields.

There were some outstanding moments of interplay, dominant running, scrummaging and loose play from the forward pack and clinical finishing from Gustav and Ciaran.

When the opposition rallied in the second half, it was Rohan, who was named Man of the Match, who cleaned up at the back and consistently made ground in a very impressive individual display.

With just three matches left to play, this win helped them maintain their record as the School’s only unbeaten team this season.

Elsewhere, there were hard-fought wins for the U12Bs and the 2nd XV, whilst things were more comfortable for the 3rd XV as Joe, Freddy and Man of the Match, George, all scoring twice in a 45-0 victory.
