Kingswood travelled to Millfield at the weekend to enjoy a competitive day of athletics in fabulous weather against nine other schools.

There were some very impressive performances with a number of athletes showing steady improvements in their events and a number of school records were broken in the girls’ competition. Imogen broke the 200m Inter girls record again, taking off half a second with a time of 25.4s.

Lizzie and Ellie were both pushed hard in the 1500m and as a result both ran under five minutes setting new records in the Senior and Inter girls events.

Although it is yet to be confirmed, it is thought that the Senior Girls 4x100m team set a new record of 50.15s.

In the Boys’ competition, there were a number of notable performances. Rob impressed in the 1500m and finished 2nd whilst Jack finished 3rd in a very quick Under 15 Boys’ 100m.

In the age group above, Gustav won the Triple Jump and just missed out on setting a new school record. Nick and Fin also pushed hard in their sprint races, whilst the U16 Boys came 2nd in their 4x100m relay.
