It was a fantastic week for Kingswood’s Cricket teams, winning 10 out of 12 matches against Clifton College, Dean Close and Monkton.

Charlie also recorded the first century of the season when he was representing the U13As in their cup match against Backwell which also saw John take a hat-trick.

There were several teams who could lay claim to Team of the Week, including the U14As who beat Monkton on Tuesday and won a thriller against Dean Close on Saturday.

Dean Close needed five off the last over but Elliot held his nerve to restrict them to just two.

The U12As registered their first win thanks to good early bowling which reduced Clifton to 4-4 and, although they eventually made 67, James topped off a fine all-round performance by playing the key innings in a successful run chase.

However, it was the U15As who were named Team of the Week.

James (63 not out) and Angus (41) both batted with real maturity which was the foundation for a total of 144.

Jess with 4-22 and Rex with 3-19 bowled really well up front to reduce Dean Close to 19-6.

However, Dean Close rallied and eventually got to within 10 runs but two excellent catches from Caleb and some good bowling from Jamie eventually saw Kingswood to a well-deserved win.
