Kingswood 275 Campaign

Kingswood School is a forward-looking school with a rich and distinctive history. Founded in 1748 by the visionary John Wesley, its enduring reputation as a school which combines a firm focus on scholarship with a deep commitment to all-round education and high quality pastoral care has ensured its remarkable and continuing success over the past 270 years.

As the School looks with ambition to the future, it is committed both to maintaining the values which have served the School so well since its foundation and to embracing the exciting challenges which face our young people in the 21st century.

Kingswood students achieve very high levels of academic success, but are certainly not defined solely by this; more significantly, they achieve this success whilst also recognising the potential they each have to make a significant and lasting difference in their lives beyond school. The School’s vision is to prepare each and every student to make a difference – and, more specially, to enhance others’ lives whilst doing so.

In order to achieve this, and as we approach our 275th anniversary in 2023, we are seeking to build ambitiously on our existing strengths. Whilst we do not benefit from any significant endowments, we are wholly committed to the concept of a Kingswood education being available to those young people who are most suited to what we offer; in seeking to develop significantly the resources available through the 10 for 1 Bursary Fund, we aim to ensure that no child should be unable to attend Kingswood through lack of parental means.

In developing further our academic, pastoral and extra-curricular facilities, we are seeking to provide the highest quality environment in which our gifted young people can learn, grow and gain the skills to become the influential leaders of tomorrow. The Sport & Well-Being Hub is the first capital project of the Kingswood 275 Campaign.

We wish a Kingswood education to be truly life-changing. Thank you for considering how you might support the Kingswood 275 Campaign.
