Head of Mathematics

For September 2024 or January 2025, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified Mathematics teacher to lead a highly successful department. The postholder will be expected to maintain the current high levels of excellence in the teaching of Mathematics, be responsible for the development of the Mathematics curriculum and timetable, assist the Deputy Head Academic with the recruitment of staff and support in the oversight of staff development.

Teacher of Learning Support

For September 2024, we are looking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced teacher to work in the Learning Support Department, supporting pupils with a range of Specific Learning Difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, ASD or ADHD to ensure that they are able to reach their full academic potential.

The successful candidate must have a qualification in teaching pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties (Level 5) as well as relevant experience. In addition, a postgraduate SpLD Level 7 qualification or equivalent which allows them to assess for access arrangements, would be an advantage.

Grounds Person

The Grounds and Gardens department is responsible for the maintenance of 126 acres split between the Senior School, Prep School, The Garden (nursery) and Upper and Middle playing fields.

The Grounds Person will work as part of a team, maintaining Kingswood’s extensive sports grounds and wider grounds.

If you have at least two years’ experience in the planning and preparation of good quality sports pitches and general grounds maintenance, and have either a horticultural or grounds maintenance qualification, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full-time post working 40 hours a week, all year round.

The salary is between £23,860 and £25,000 per annum, depending on qualifications, skills and experience, with staff benefits including free lunches, refreshments and parking.

Visiting Cello Teacher

For September 2024, we are looking to appoint an experienced, engaging and motivated teacher of Cello on a self-employed basis to join our strong and very successful Music Department at the Prep School.

The successful candidate must have proven ability of teaching individual cello lessons to a wide range of children at all levels, from beginner up to grade 8 standard. Ideally you will have experience in entering pupils for ABRSM music exams and working in a busy Prep School environment.

This will initially be for at least 6 x 30-minute lessons per week, possibly increasing in the new academic year.
