Kingswood raises large sums of money for charity every year and the whole school community recognises the need to help others who are in need of assistance. Above and beyond a historic commitment to several charities both in the UK and overseas, there is a pupil-led eagerness to raise funds for good causes. Every term sees boys and girls create charity-based assemblies and follow-up work for the good of others.
In addition, some of our boys and girls engage in community service and a number undertake voluntary work overseas as part of their gap year between school and university. A bi-annual school trip to Malawi offers support to the Open Arms Infant Home in Blantyre. This involves up to 30 members of the community, mostly Sixth Form pupils, and has a reputation for inspiring such voluntary work overseas.
