Former Kingswood Student Honoured With Commemorative Plaque

The Kingswood Association were present for the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the life of former Kingswood student Second Lieutenant Hardy Falconer Parsons this week.

Parsons was awarded the Victoria Cross after he single-handedly defended his men against a German armed with a flamethrower in France, 1917. He later died from the wounds that he sustained.

Kingswood's Head Boy and Head Girl were also present for the unveiling of the blue plaque, which is located outside of Parsons' former home in Redland, Bristol.
