Orienteers End Season on a High

Sunday saw the finale of the season for the orienteers with the Inter school relays at Ashton Court. With a few key team members missing due to exams and D of E expeditions it was a young team of Jim, Oliver and Callum who competed in the open class. Jim ran a fast first leg finishing in a rain storm but bringing the team back in a clear first place which Oliver maintained. Although Callum had a really good time, he unfortunately was too fast in his control punching and a control didn't register. Their time was amazingly an hour quicker than the next team.

In the next class Sebastian ran the first leg and recovered well after a huge mistake to come back in 4th place, Angus also had a few problems but maintained 4th. However, Jamie Dale had a really good run and brought the team home in 2nd place.

The overall league awards were presented at this event and all our league winners received their trophies and the school the winning team trophy.
