We expect sixth formers to be both happy and successful at Kingswood. This requires certain agreed behaviour:
-
A commitment to study
Students are expected to want to succeed and to give their academic study the priority it deserves
-
A commitment to leadership
Students are expected to take an active part in the running of the school and set a good example to our younger pupils
-
A commitment to a broad education
Students are expected to recognize that success in life requires more than work in the classroom. Sixth formers play a prominent role in the life-enhancing array of activities on offer within the school
-
A commitment to partnership
Mutually respectful and friendly relations between teachers and sixth formers are a strong feature of the school community
-
A commitment to the general ethos of the school
Students are expected to help set the tone of the school, maintaining a culture in which bullying or any other form of prejudice, racial or otherwise, is seen as unacceptable. They are expected to take a lead in encouraging a friendly and caring attitude in the school and in promoting concern for the wider community through charitable activities and community service.
