A Prickly Visitor For Year 1

Pupils in Year 1 enjoyed a visit from the Hedgehog Rescue Centre.

Yvonne Cox told the children about the threats and dangers that hedgehogs face and how changes in their habitat have drastically reduced their numbers. She also told the children that the number of hedgehogs being brought into the rescue centre increases each year.

Yvonne also explained what could be done to help the hedgehogs and how small changes in our gardens at home could improve their ability to thrive.

The highlight of the visit was when the children were introduced to a hedgehog that had been brought into the centre.
