German Exchange 2009

Our guests from the Schillergymnasium in Muensterhave just left after another highly successful week with Kingswood School families. All participants enjoyed getting to know thier German partners. The German group enjoyed three days in normal lessons and two day excursions to Oxford where they visited Christchurch College and a trip with Kingswood German teacher, Miss Beale to Salisbury followed by Stonehenge. Accompanying English and music teacher, Christian Meyer, was delighted how the week had gone. He has seen his pupils applying their English speaking skills. Kingswood hosts took their partners to various local sites of interest including Longleat. One lucky German pupil enjoyed a weekend of jet-skiing and several went to London or a theme park. The Kingswood pupils are looking forward to their visit to Germany in December when they will have their opportunity to use their German skills.
