Biology Field Trip
The U6 biologists have just come back from their residential field trip. The first day of the course was spent studying succession on the sand dunes at Saunton. Biotic and abiotic factors were recorded at various points across the dunes and these were then analysed back at Nettlecombe Court Field Centre which is where we stayed overnight. The following day was based around the Centre and the students investigated flow rate and the abundance of various freshwater invertebrates in the Doniford river as well as considering trophic levels and feeding niches.
