In Year 7, all pupils follow a course of Learning Styles in order to support their learning in all areas of the curriculum.

Pupils who have joined the school with identified specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, are offered target support through individual sessions with specialist teachers. Our Learning Support department is tasked with identifying pupils who may not have been identified as having specific learning difficulties before joining Kingswood, but whose learning profile suggest additional support may be appropriate.

Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are provided, where appropriate, and all teaching staff are made aware of pupils' strengths and weaknesses and are trained in techniques to ensure pupils' individual needs are addressed. This enables all staff to support pupils in their learning so that every pupil at Kingswood is able to reach his or her academic potential.
