Last week the new Lower Sixth completed a two day induction programme designed to introduce them to the challenges and opportunities presented by life in the sixth form. After a series of presentations introducing all aspects of the sixth form experience the students were then invited to take part in a day of activities and challenges organised by the Wiser Words organisation. Divided into teams, they were presented with a range of testing problems designed to highlight and develop a variety of skills, including teamwork, leadership, time management, decision making and lateral thinking. The day proved to be a great success, and alongside the ever popular annual Ceilidh of the night before helped students new to Kingswood meet new friends and settle into our community.
