Locally-based international charity Hope and Homes for Children is £2,700 better off thanks to the efforts of pupils at Kingswood School. The majority of the proceeds came from the sales of a DVD/CD that Kingswood's musicians and artists made on a trip to the beautiful Scottish Castle of Carbisdale. The DVD/CD contained over 20 newly composed songs and videos, as well as 40 pieces of artwork inspired by the wonderful Scottish landscape.
In addition to this, Kingswood's drummers played a sponsored 12 hour drum marathon back in November, and girls in Fonthill and School Houses raised well over £500 from the sale of candy canes and chocolate Valentine Hearts. All of the pupils were very proud to present the cheque to Hope and Homes volunteer Keith Masdin at a recent school assembly.
