"I was asked to give a 'warts and all' practitioner's account of a study skills course that I run for Year 11 pupils which involves using on-line social media. It was a very exciting event because, as well as the 150 delegates in the room, it was also broadcast on line with 15 schools from around the UK participating through Twitter and web-streaming of the event."
The conference was the start of a process for schools to find new models of learning for our connected world. Nicola’s course for Year 11 pupils is breaking new ground by using social collaborative media sites, such as ‘Bubbl.us’ - a mind mapping tool on-line.
