Last week over one hundred students performed “Grimm Tales” to hugely appreciative audiences on Monday through to Thursday. The cast and musicians, consisting of pupils from Years 7 to 9, really did themselves proud in what was a truly professional standard show.

Under the direction of the Drama Depatment the cast produced seven entertaining versions of the Grimm Brothers' dark tales ranging from familiar stories such as Snow White and Ashputtel (known to the majority as Cinderella) to lesser known ones such as Iron Hans and the Lady and the Lion. The standard of performance from all of the actors was very high for such a young cast and in particular from Ollie Gardner as the sinister narrator linking the stories together and Luke Jackson as an immensely entertaining Wolf in Little Red Cap.

The original music composed by our Year 9 added great atmosphere to every tale helping to make the production another very memorable performance at Kingswood. Mr Harding was immensely proud of all involved and would like to thank not only the cast and musicians who performed to such a high standard but also the fantastic contributions of Mr Francis and his technical team; Mrs Nash, Mrs Bassett and Mr Mainwaring.
