Sam Williams, who has been playing tennis since the age of six, and  represented the Kingswood School Tennis 1st VI since Year 9, has recently returned from an International Tennis Federation tournament in Toronto, in which he defeated several seeded players on his way to a narrow defeat against the No 3 seed in the Quarter Finals. 

Last season he played in a prestigious international tournament in Latvia where he reached the Quarter Finals in the singles and the Final in the doubles. In a further international competition in Finland he reached the U16 boys’ semis and the U16 boys’ doubles Final.  He will be competing in more ITF tournaments over the summer holidays in a bid to accrue more ITF ranking points.  Sam's long term aim is to go to University in America in September 2011 to further his tennis career.
