“Can You Feel It?” shouted Mr Mainwaring at the soundcheck for Kingswood's second annual gig at Green Park Station, “can you feel the responsibility of providing an amazing show?” And they could - Kingswood Jazz Orchestra, the Cheese Strings, the Happies backing vocalists and solo singers sensed the promise of an amazing gig. They were there to perform their Feel Good Fest show as part of the opening night of the Bath International Music Festival.
Two hours of feel-good music promised for a Lovely Day, and the main aim of all the performers was to make the audience Think, “Oh! I Feel Good”. With numbers like Uptown Girl, Abba's Voulez Vous, and Mambo No.5, the 1200 strong audience was able to Dance the Night Away. What a Feeling it was to see such a gigantic crowd dancing so furiously they made a Disco Inferno. Not only were the audience bopping in front of the stage, but there were people Dancing in the Street to numbers like The Best of My Love, and Material Girl. The two hour set from the 60-strong orchestra was a complete winner, with every performer focused on the mantra Let Me Entertain You. Why Do Fools Fall in Love with Kingswood's musicians?
