Former KS Pupil Composer Writes for King's Speech

Ex-Kingswood musician Gareth Coker recently composed music for the UK trailer of the Oscar-nominated film The King's Speech. Gareth left Kingswood in 2002 to study film composition at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Following three years teaching and studying in Japan after graduating, Gareth completed a Masters Degree at the University of Southern California in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television. Since then he has been working in Los Angeles composing for TV, computer games, films and commercials. As well as The King's Speech, Gareth has also written theatrical trailers for Reign of Assassins and The Secret In Their Eyes. We are very proud that Gareth's music is receiving the credit it deserves, and look forward to seeing him back at Kingswood soon!
