Some of Kingswood's leading jazz musicians performed at the Lansdown Golf Club last Friday evening as part of the fundraising Golf Day organised by the school's Development Department. After a hard day on the greens, what could be nicer than listening to some cool jazz provided by some cool musicians? Joe Stansfield, Matt Dabell, Charlie O'Connor, Darren Brookbanks, Toby Russell, Sam Mumford, Alex Greig, Max Thulin, David Short and Katy Proctor performed golf-themed swing music including Tee for Two, It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing, Miles Davis' Four!, the theme from Hawaii Five Iron, and a range of big club hits! Charlie and the Jazz Angels next gig will be a fair way away (!), in London's East India Club on 11 June.
