Outdoor Pursuits Programme
Kingswood traditionally enters two teams for the Ten Tors Expedition on Dartmoor and has a very good record of success in this nationally recognised event. Bronze and Gold expeditions for the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme take place each year and there is an annual trip to Snowdonia or the Lake District for Sixth Formers.
Alongside these regular activities we try to introduce a variety of occasional activities, such as caving, scuba diving and surfing, in response to the enthusiasms of staff and pupils.
Pupils at Kingswood are able to take part in a range of weekly outdoor pursuits activities including orienteering, climbing, kayaking, camp craft, survival skills, mountain biking and navigation skills.
