School umbrellas came out in force last Sunday, but not for the usual rain that might be expected on an October afternoon on the Kingswood Upper Playing Fields in Lansdown. They proved to be extremely helpful in keeping off the blazing sun as parents, pupils, Governors, staff and special guests, including Deputy Mayor, Councillor Mrs Cherry Beath and Deputy Mayor’s Consort, Mr Richard Beath witnessed the unveiling of a magnificent plaque to mark the opening of the magnificent new Kingswood Sports Pavilion.
