Despite the fact that the Association was running two events on the same evening, the MJSD proved as popular as ever and with a menu based around the theme of North African food, 24 members of the Kingswood Association and their guests sat down to another top meal provided by the school chefs.

A highpoint of the evening was the recognition for John Yeo whose name had, at long last, been added to the Dining Hall ‘Farmer Prize' honours board. When John first attended the MJSD he noticed that, although he had been awarded the prize when he was at school, his name did not appear on the honours board. The Headmaster agreed that he should be recognised and John's name has now been added. John was warmly congratulated.

Following the meal, several members climbed to the Examination Hall to look out at the sunset over the Westons. The Examination Hall – once one of the Upper House dormitories – is in regular use as the venue for the wide range of examinations that seem to be a major part of school life.

Overall, a most enjoyable evening and, should you have missed it we shall be holding our next MJSD on Friday 10th September.
