We offer a wide range of over forty weekly extra-curricular activities, with particular strengths in sport, music, dance, and speech and drama. Many activities take place between 4.15pm and 5.15pm, but some take place during the lunch hour. Team sports include rugby, hockey, and netball in the winter and cricket, rounders and athletics in the summer. Matches are arranged with local schools and Kingswood Preparatory School attends and hosts tournaments in which several schools participate. There are after school clubs for team sports, judo, orienteering and other sports.

Pupils may take extra tuition in verse-speaking, drama and mime from Year 1. Pupils from Year 3 upwards may take examinations for the English Speaking Board and many choose to enter the Mid-Somerset Festival.
